ANAHEIM -- Cutter Gauthier scored at 3:57 of overtime to give the Anaheim Ducks a 4-3 win against the Vegas Golden Knights at Honda Center on Saturday. Gauthier, who also had an assist, turned and scored after a loose puck came to him alone in front of the net.
The Vegas Golden Knights are hoping to ride a hot streak to keep their divisional supremacy intact against an unexpected foe.
Gauthier scores with 1:03 left to give the Ducks a 4-3 win. Jackson LaCombe and Troy Terry also score as the Ducks improve to 6-1 in games decided after regulation this season.
First place in the Pacific Division will be on the line Saturday night when the reigning division champion Vegas Golden Knights visit the Anaheim Ducks.
After outscoring teams 10-4 in the second period through their first six games, the Golden Knights have been outscored 7-1 in the middle stanza over their last eight games.
The Ducks (13-7-1) face the Golden Knights (10-4-6) for the second time this season as Anaheim continues its six-game home stretch. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. PT and will air exclusively on Victory+.
