Valve discounts the Steam Deck for Black Friday, cutting the price enough to make its popular handheld PC more affordable than the original Switch.

And second, a 5-star SteamOS gaming handheld many believe is better than the Steam Deck now has a great Black Friday discount.

Though the original Steam Deck hardware is getting on a bit in years, Valve's handheld gaming PC remains a pretty transformative bit of kit. A great big chunk of your Steam library, on the go—and it costs nowhere near as much as a full rig.

The 256 GB LCD Steam Deck is reduced to $319.20 at the Steam store, down from its full list price of $399. That makes it less than half the price of the premium 1 TB OLED model, and also $130 less than a Nintendo Switch 2. The offer will be available until Dec. 1.
