SONOMA COUNTY, CA - A preliminary 3.7 magnitude quake was registered near The Geysers Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
It’s been a full week of earthquakes in California, including a 4.1 near Templeton that triggered an alert for residents. “This week is a bit busy,” Minson said. “But earthquakes are not uniformly spaced out in space and time, so this is all within the normal variation for earthquakes.”
The tremors were felt as far north as San Francisco, with the most intense shaking reported in the South Bay region. There were no immediate reports of damage. According to FlightAware and the Federal Aviation Administration, there were no immediate indications that the earthquakes impacted travel at San Jose Mineta International Airport.
