The electrical fire onboard the container ship One Henry Hudson in the Port of Los Angeles has been substantially contained while efforts continue to fully extinguish the blaze, which began Friday evening, Port of Los Angeles officials said on Sunday.
A fire broke out on a container ship in San Pedro Friday prompting a large firefighter response at the dock. The fire was reported around 7:13 p.m. on the container ship “1 Henry Hudson,” according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A fire that broke out on a Ocean Network Express (ONE) operated container ship over the weekend is still burning, although its has been “substantially contained”, the Port of Los Angeles said in its latest press statement.

All of the 23 crew members were accounted for and there were no injuries from the electrical fire, which appears to have started below deck, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
