Kilmar Abrego, the migrant whose wrongful deportation to El Salvador made him a symbol of U.S. President Donald Trump's aggressive immigration policies, has been summoned to appear before federal officials in Baltimore on Monday while facing the possibility of being deported again,

The Trump administration may deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia to Uganda after he rejected a last-minute deal to remain in jail, plead guilty to human smuggling charges and be deported to Costa Rica, a legal notice filed Saturday by his attorneys said.

Abrego Garcia’s case became a flashpoint in Trump’s immigration agenda after he was mistakenly deported to El Salvador in March.
