Mandatory evacuation orders are in place along the Outer Banks of North Carolina amid fears they may get cut off from the main highway.

Gov. Dan McKee and the RI DEM warn Rhode Islanders to be careful along the shoreline, as Hurricane Erin will generate dangerous surf and rip currents.

The already sprawling storm will grow larger as it hurls the ocean toward the East Coast and Bermuda, and it could have company this week.
