A YVR spokesperson told Daily Hive that all of the mainline Air Canada flight cancellations are due to the labour dispute.

A labor relations board declared a strike by Air Canada’s 10,000 flight attendants illegal on Monday and ordered their union to bring them back to work by midday.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees, which represents the flight attendants, has accused federal Jobs Minister Patty Hajdu of caving to Air Canada’s demands.
