Cleveland named Joe Flacco the starting quarterback Monday. “Joe Cool leading the way,” the Browns official account wrote on X, adding a saluting face emoji. It took any remaining drama out of the unique quarterback competition that included Kenny Pickett and two rookies in Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.

With two preseason games under their belt and performances from Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel on tape, the Cleveland Browns have reportedly made their decision on who will start at quarterback to begin the 2025 season.

2025 Outlook: Flacco is the favorite to start off the season and is likely the best option for Browns’ pass catchers in fantasy outside of Sanders. The biggest question will be how long is he the starter and will it be worth it figuring the Browns won’t be a great team regardless.
