SEOUL: The powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said her country will never see South Korea as a partner for diplomacy, state media reported Wednesday in her latest taunt of Seoul’s new efforts to mend ties.

Kim Jong-un has condemned South Korean-US military drills while touring his most advanced warship fitted with nuclear-capable systems. North Korea's leader vowed a rapid expansion of his nuclear forces to counter rivals, state media reported on Tuesday (August 19).

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said his country needed to rapidly expand its nuclear armament and called U.S.-South Korea military exercises an "obvious expression of their will to provoke war," state media KCNA reported on Tuesday.
