WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) is feeling the Thanksgiving travel crunch. As of early Thursday afternoon, airport officials announced that all parking lots at PBI are currently full, urging travelers to use alternative transportation options such as Uber, Lyft, taxis, or Palm Tran buses.

Despite the large crowds, terminals at MIA have so far been smooth, which has been an unexpected surprise for some fliers.

TSA checkpoint 2, located in Concourse D near gates D22 to D25, is up and running again, and it’s faster than before. The upgraded TSA checkpoint 2 debuted Nov. 1 after having been closed since Sept. 2. With checkpoint 2 reopening, that means all TSA checkpoints are now functioning at MIA.
