Texas women's basketball program will earn $1 million in NIL money for participating in this week's Players Era event in Las Vegas that includes two games.
Seth Berger, the CEO of the Players Era Festival, said the winner of the event's championship game Wednesday between Michigan and Gonzaga will receive an additional $1 million in name, image and likeness compensation.
Players Era Festival CEO Seth Berger said teams receive over $1 million in NIL compensation on average, with more opportunities for top four teams.
This is the second year of the tournament, which began Monday. Each of the eight teams that played in last year's event received at least $1 million, organizers have said.
