Head coach Dan Campbell confirmed in his Friday press conference that Sam LaPorta had surgery on his back and is unlikely to return this year. But LaPorta should be OK in the future.

Campbell told the media in his Friday press conference that LaPorta had surgery to address the back injury that held him out of last week's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Though he didn't rule it out, Campbell said LaPorta's return this season is unlikely.
